The wait is finally over to find out who are this year’s contenders for the annual Forecourt Trader Awards.
Some 375 entries arrived in our inbox and our 12 judges had a really tough job of deciding who should be put through to the second stage of the highly selective competition.
Our team then spent days covering hundreds of miles to pay a mystery visit to every one of the 85 locations which were in the running to win one of 24 prestigious forecourt awards. And now we have come up with a finalist list.
“To say that the judging process is thorough is an understatement,” says Forecourt Trader editor Juliet Morrison. “And so a big congratulations to all of our finalists who will have been thoroughly vetted both on and off paper to ensure that they are the best of the best in forecourt retailing.
“Nothing is left unturned by our judges who ensure that every site which makes it this far has hit a high level of customer satisfaction from the forecourt, shop, staff, facilities and services offered.
“It is why being shortlisted is such an achievement and should be celebrated in its own right. Nothing is left unturned. Every claim made in an entry is looked into.
“This year’s standard of entries was exemplary and we would invite other forecourt operators to visit as many of the sites on the shortlist as possible to get inspiration from these best in class operators.”
Those who have made it through to the regional shortlist are also in contention for the most prestigious and respected award in the petrol retailing world – the Forecourt Trader of the Year.
But everyone on the list below is a winner. These awards, sponsored by Booker, reward hard work, determination and innovation in the drive for excellence.
The industry will come together to celebrate the winners at the must-attend awards ceremony, to network and have a good time, on Thursday, October 9.
